Sasol
A Sasol promotional CD. Sasol wanted a reusable engine that they could dramatically restyle via stylesheets every year. The entire interface is code generated (except the photos) and uses XML to house the content and layout definitions.

Sasol
I'm quite happy with the easy-of-use of the system, given how customisable it is: it only took an hour or so to train non-technical people how to capture content, styles, layout, etc. Each year's CD had several hundred pages of structured content.

MWeb MyPA
An AIR application I developed for MWeb. It's a virtual PA that updates you on weather, stocks, news and so forth. More importantly, you can request one of several services from her/him (you can choose from a range of PA's during setup) and this is then sent through to MWeb's real-world MyPA service.

Wings game
A cute promotional flying game I knocked together for a travel agency. They wanted it to look like La Linea (you know, the line-drawing guy that was on TV in the '80s). You had to dodge obstacles and stay within a certain altitude range. The game got faster and faster as you progressed. High scores were stored and prizes were awarded at the end of the game's run.

SA Rugby game
I made this about a million years ago, but it was pretty impressive at the time - you had to run towards the try line while dodging potential tacklers. I think there was a streaker too....

New Channel invite
An early Flash invite I created for 'New Channel' a new media exhibition I organised and got my old company (TBWA / Digerati) to sponsor. It was based on a physics engine I found online and I customised it to play music based on the ball collisions. It sounded kind of like a drunk Philip Glass. I still enjoy playing around with generative music engines and can often be found noodling around with Chuck, Max/MSP and my Nord Modular G2X.

The MTN biltong game
I think I made this back in 2001 in Flash 3 or something...It's ancient and simple, but it was loads of fun. You had to try throw biltong into the characters' mouths when they popped open. Highlights included several hours in Look and Listen sourcing the boeremusiek soundtrack.

Savanna 21
This blackjack game was hosted on the Savanna website and was the first online multiplayer Flash game I developed. The database is long since gone, hence the lack of text and card images :D
